The Play Rangers will be at Kingston Park tomorrow from 1-3.

The C-K Play Rangers organize free-play activities to encourage children to get outside and play in parks and open spaces.

They’ll introduce some new equipment and bring all your favourites.

Admission is free! Children of all ages welcome.

The 7th annual Shrewbury Maple Syrup Festival is tomorrow from 8-1.

Come out for the Pancake breakfast ($8 adult/$4 child 7 & under) maple treats, cider, vendors and tour the Sinclair Bush at the Shrewsbury Community Center.


There’s a Blood Donor and Swabbing Clinic at the Tilbury Arena (Ryder Hall) on Monday from 1-7.

It’ll be held in honour of two year old Megan Patrick, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the end of 2018.

The goal is to have 125 come to the clinic. For every person that donates blood, The Tilbury Auto Mall will donate $10 to the Mighty Megan Fights Leukemia Campaign.

Jimmy Carter is now the longest-living President in history.

Carter passed George H.W. Bush yesterday, at 94 years and 172 days old — one day older than Bush was when he died last November. The 39th President, had already set the record for living the longest number of years out of office at more than 38 years. He and his wife Rosalynn have been married more than 70 years and are still active.


A fireball was streaking across the Los Angeles sky on Wednesday, so people started thinking it was a meteor or an alien invasion.

No such luck.

It was a film shoot by Red Bull. They dropped a couple of skydivers in wingsuits from a helicopter at 4,000 feet and their suits were fitted with “LED lights and sparking pyrotechnics.”
