Expect gas prices to jump today following an attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities.

The attack halted production of 5.7 million barrels of crude a day, more than half of Saudi Arabia’s global daily exports and more than 5 per cent of the world’s daily crude oil production.

Prices at the pumps are expected to increase by as much as eight cents today.

Higher oil prices could raise average gasoline prices in Canada by between five and 12 cents per litre over the next two weeks.


The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will host a demonstration of a patient decontamination system on Tuesday morning.

They will conduct a demo of a decontamination chamber in the ambulance bay, just outside the emergency department at the Chatham site.

The emergency department and visitors will not be affected. Just a heads up in case you notice a commotion this morning.
