Diner Owner Yells at Child
The owner of a restaurant in Portland, Maine is being judged for her behaviour this past weekend.
Darla is the owner’s name and she said a couple came in with their 2 year old daughter. They ordered her 3 huge pancakes, but didn’t feed them to her.. which upset the 2 year.. and caused her to start crying loudly. And she continued to do so for an hour apparently. Within that time, the owner asked them to leave or take the child outside, but they wouldn’t.
Later on, the owner snapped and yelled at the child to stop crying.. and she did. The parents were immediately shocked, and left shortly after. But took to Facebook to talk about their bad experience. So the owner is receiving a lot of both negative and positive feedback from her actions.
I’m not sure how I feel about this one.. I think the owner may have overreacted a little bit, but if the parents aren’t doing anything to try and soothe their crying child, I understand why the owner would get upset. She has other customers in her restaurant that are trying to enjoy themselves, and a baby crying for an hour with the parents doing nothing, would be frustrating.

What do you think? Did the owner overreact?
