1Work on the $17 million dollar ceiling renovation on the Detroit Windsor Tunnel begins tonight.

The tunnel will be closed beginning at 8 tonight and will reopen at 5:30am on Monday, October 30th.

The tunnel will be closed from 8pm to 5:30am each Sunday through Thursday night starting October 30th until June 2018 (save for a few occasions where it will stay open – Black Friday, Christmas to New Year’s, etc)

Full renovation schedule here.

Five Things - 2The Habitat for Humanity Family Fall Festival is tomorrow at Chatham Christian School (475 Keil Dr., Chatham) from 10-2.

Lots to do for the whole family.

Five Things - 3The Dodgers beat the Cubs last night to advance to the World Series.

The Yankees have a chance to put away the Astros in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series tonight.

Taco Bell is doing their promotion again this year where you can get a free taco after the first stolen base in the World Series.

If it happens in Game 1 or 2, it’ll be on November 1st. If it happens after that, it’s November 7th.

Five Things - 4CTV will show the premiere of Long Time Running, which chronicles The Tragically Hip’s 2016 Man Machine Poem Tour and final concert tonight at 8.

Five Things - 5Starting next year, you won’t have to sign anything when you use your MasterCard. They’re getting rid of the signature requirement in April.

Mastercard says that just 20% of transactions in North America still require a signature at checkout.

As for security, MasterCard assures customers that removing the need for signatures at the time of checkout will not impact the safety of their purchases.

Shoppers generally just scribble their name in the “sign here” box at checkout anyways and often those signatures aren’t checked against anything, otherwise we’d probably have a lot more denied transactions.
