1Two more parades for Santa this weekend.

The Ridgetown Santa Claus Parade is on Saturday at 1 and then he makes his way to Dresden for the parade at 6.

One more parade locally, and that’s in Thamesville next Friday night.

Five Things - 2The Cornell School of Irish Dance presents a Disney themed dance show today at 10:15 and 7 at the Capitol Theatre.

Five Things - 3Time Magazine announced its Person of the Year yesterday.

They chose the Silence Breakers, the people who started the movement against sexual harassment this year. They list every woman who’s accused a celebrity of harassment in 2017.

They put a group of women on the cover including Taylor Swift and Ashley Judd. There’s one woman’s arm at the edge of the picture, she’s another victim who didn’t want to reveal her identity for fear of losing her job.


Five Things - 4YouTube named its most viral video of 2017.

It’s a video of a guy singing and rapping in an oyster costume, from a singing competition in Thailand.


The show is called The Mask Singer, and he’s singing a song called Until We Will Become Dust. Apparently the people who compete are celebrities there, and they wear masks so that they can be judged before people know who they are.

This isn’t the most-viewed video of the year, that was Despacito.

The most viral video is judged based on shares, likes, and comments along with views.


Five Things - 5A Delta flight from New York City to Seattle was diverted to Montana for a potty break after the toilets onboard stopped working.
