Chatham-Kent has announced extra garbage collection dates for flooded properties in Chatham and Thamesville.
Residents and business owners who have extra garbage due to the flooding will be able to have it removed next week.
Chatham streets affected by flooding will be cleaned up on Wednesday and Thursday.
All garbage must be contained in garbage bags, cardboard boxes, garbage containers, or tote carts if possible. If items like carpets or underpads cannot be contained then they’ll need to be bundled and tied and cut up into five-ft. lengths.
Bulk items such as furniture damaged by the flood will also be collected.
