There was no winning ticket in last night’s Mega Millions Jackpot.

The next draw is Friday with a jackpot just over $500 million with a lump sum cash payout of $301 million.

Ontario’s Liberal government will present its final budget before the June election later today.

They’ve already said that the 2018 budget will run a deficit — potentially as high as $8 billion — reneging on a key promise to balance the books. The added spending is necessary to help struggling Ontario residents, according to the Liberals.

It was announced last night that a $2.2 billion program, beginning in 2020, would fund the cost of full-day, licensed child care once children turn two-and-a-half.

The funding would cover their care costs until they become eligible for full-day kindergarten.

There’s a new rollercoaster at an amusement park in England that charges your phone with fear.

They had scientists develop tech that takes the vibrations from your screams and converts them to energy to power up your phone. Obviously it’ll only be a small battery boost, but on a long day at an amusement park, I guess every bit of juice is helpful.

There’s no word on whether the technology could make its way to the rollercoasters here in North America.
