The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority (LTVCA) has issued a flood watch for Chatham-Kent.

Due to the heavy rainfall over the weekend, flooding is occurring along some waterways. The McGregor Creek and the Indian Creek have both climbed about 2.6m and still haven’t reached their peaks yet.

Officials are monitoring the situation. This watch will be in effect until Tuesday.


On a warmer note, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent has announced the opening dates for the community splash pads.

The first ones locally will open a week from today.


Some good news from the Humboldt Broncos.

After the tragic bus crash of April 6th, the team announced on Friday that they will ice a team for the upcoming season.

Steps are now being taken to slowly return the club to routine hockey operations. This week the process will begin to recruit a head coach and general manager.
