The International Plowing Match and Rural Expo is planning on breaking some records this fall.

Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to come to the Immaculate Conception Hall in Pain Court tonight at 7 to find out more.

The records they are planning on breaking are for longest skewer of vegetables, largest container of popcorn, and largest smoothie. Celebrity chef Bob Blumer is set to be apart of another world record attempt.

The IPM is set for September 18th-22nd in Pain Court.

Two days of activities for the kids, beverage tent and entertainment.

Canada, Mexico and USA Will Host 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The United North American bid to host the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup includes Toronto, Montreal and Edmonton as potential sites for the 10 games to be played in Canada. Ten games will also be played in Mexico, and 60 in the U.S.

Organizers say the World Cup will present Canada with a chance to show far-flung parts of the world that “we don’t live in igloos.”


The raccoon that captivated the nation by scaling a building in Minnesota made it to the top early yesterday morning.

They used a cage to catch it, gave it a few cans of cat food, and released it back into the wild.

The hashtag #MPRRaccoon has been trending worldwide for two days.
