ckpl1) The Wallaceburg branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will hold its Spring used book sale from April 20-25. Browse a selection of kid’s books, paperbacks, magazines and more. All proceed will support library programs and services.

2) 1100 guests partied at the 2015 Festival of Giving on Saturday night, raising over $260,000 for local charities. FoG has raised about $2.5 million since it began!


3) The Calgary Flames took a 2 games to 1 lead over the Vancouver Canucks last night with a 4-2 win. TJ Brodie was the games First Star.

4) By our count, 5 local runners in the 119th “running” of the Boston Marathon. Steve Moore, Kim Wood (Chatham) Brian Horrobin, Joe Perry (Wallaceburg) & Peter Fisher (Ridgetown) are in Boston today.

5) Oregon’s water utility company recently figured out a new way to purify sewage water, and they just got permission to brew beer with it. It’ll only be served at events and private parties.
