4) The Lyrids, April’s top meteor shower, which is expected to peak just before dawn this morning.
NASA predicts 15-to-20 meteors visible per hour, and no special equipment is needed to see them.
The Lyrids are bits and pieces of debris from Comet Thatcher and have been seen each April for more than 2,600 years, making them one of the oldest known meteor showers.

5) YouTube celebrated its 10th anniversary back in February, it was founded on February 14th, 2005. But the first actual video was posted ten years ago today. It’s a clip of one of the co-founders standing in front of an elephant pen at the San Diego Zoo.
Fittingly, it’s called “Me at the Zoo”.
Ten years later, YouTube has more than a billion users, and 300 hours of footage gets uploaded every minute.
Gangnam Style is still the most-watched YouTube video of all time, with 2.3 billion hits.
