1The Kingston Park Splash Pad has re-opened. It was closed on May 23rd for maintenance and repairs.

The majority of corrections have been made, however the water spray cannons will still be temporarily out of service until minor repairs are made.


2The Beach Bus is on the road today!

The beach bus (Seasonal Interurban Transit Route S1) Chatham, Erieau and Mitchell’s Bay with stops in Grande Point, Pain Court, Charing Cross and Blenheim.

The beach bus operates every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday between the hours of 9:00AM and 8:00PM, until Labour Day. Fares are $5.00 one way for adults or $4.50 for students and seniors.


3Walk a Mile in Her Shoes for the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre was moved indoors yesterday at the Downtown Chatham Centre due to rain. Still over 100 men donned red high heels and walked to end violence against women. Over $25,000 was raised. Walk a Mile banner


4.The Stanley Cup final is set. The Chicago Blackhawks will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning beginning on Wednesday night. Both teams won game 7’s over the weekend.


5Levi’s is teaming up with Google to make a new type of jeans with touch-sensitive fabric. So eventually, you’ll be able to swipe your leg to answer a phone call.
