2A possible strike by 12,000 workers at Loblaw owned stores across Ontario has been pushed back a week.

Two days of mediated talks has produced an amended contract offer. As a result they have postponed its strike deadline of Sunday, July 5 to give its members time to vote on the new contract.

The union says if the offer is rejected, the strike will begin on Saturday, July 11 at 12:01 a.m. at all 60 Loblaws Great Food and Superstore locations across the province.


3The American women’s soccer team won the World Cup.

The U.S. Women’s Soccer Team beat Japan 5 – 2 to win by scoring four goals in the first 16 minutes.

This is the third time the U.S. has won the Women’s World Cup, which is more than any other country. The last time was in 1999.


4.MasterCard is testing a new smartphone app that allows people to pay for online purchases with a Selfie or their fingerprints.

Users who choose facial recognition will have to stare at their phone and blink once while taking a Selfie.

MasterCard is also experimenting with voice recognition


57-Eleven be testing a delivery service. The company announced the news last week, saying the new service is a partnership with Postmates.
