More Ontario drinkers went to LCBO.com to buy wine, beer and spirits over the holidays.
The LCBO says its online alcohol sales totaled nearly $2 million between November 6th and December 31st, up from $1.7 million over the previous three months.
The online store was launched in late July.
The types of alcohol that people purchased online shifted over the holidays, with beer sales dropping and a boost in red wine and spirits. Other drinks associated with the holiday season, such as Baileys Irish Cream, also grew more popular.

The one-week increase is being made to allow residents to dispose of extra waste from the holidays.
Christmas trees can be picked up curbside and will be counted as one ‘bag’ towards the weekly limit.
