Come out to Sons of Kent tonight for the Hime for Help Pre-Halloween Trivia Night.
$20 per person, 4 person team. Trivia starts at 7.
All proceeds go to Hime for Help to support children in Haiti.
November Ontario Works cheques will not be mailed out in Chatham-Kent.
Instead, because of rotating 24-hour strikes at Canada Post, cheques will be handed out in person at the Employment & Social Services offices.
Clients need to bring their ID to pick up their cheque — either one form of photo ID or two forms of non-photo ID. A list of pick up locations is below.
Clients that signed up for Direct Bank Deposit will not be affected.
Due to the potential mail disruption, Employment & Social Services Division will not be mailing Ontario Works cheques and will be distributing them through Employment & Social Services offices. Here’s how to get yours. https://t.co/itJu0Vn1nX#ckont pic.twitter.com/4TiMYSqcuD

TVO is threatening legal proceedings over the Tokaroo mascot.
Tokaroo is a weed-themed parody of the popular children’s character Polkaroo from The Polka Dot Door, a TV program that aired on TVO between 1971 and 1993.
The man inside the Tokaroo costume is Mark Scott — the performer who played Polkaroo for 22 years during promotional events.
TVO has asked Scott “to take appropriate action to stop the use of this character.”

Remember back in the MySpace era when you’d go to someone’s page and a song would start playing?
Facebook is bringing it back. They just announced they’re going to start testing a feature that will let people add songs to their profile.
So when people click on your page, they can hear what you’re rocking out to.
There’s no word on when they’re going to start rolling it out.
Facebook will let you add music to your profile, so you can pretend like Myspace never died https://t.co/uwnSvrD2bk pic.twitter.com/sIwrpIULzg
