5 Things You Need To Know

Another delay with the construction of the Detroit Windsor Tunnel. It’ll remained closed overnight until December now.

Renovations were originally supposed to wrap up in June, then pushed back to October, now December. The work started in October 2017.

The tunnel will continue to be shut down 8pm to 5:30am. The tunnel stays open Friday and Saturday nights.

The tunnel turns 88 years old on Saturday. It’s the second busiest crossing between the U.S. and Canada in the country, following the Ambassador Bridge.


There is an ID Clinic at the Chatham Branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library tomorrow from 12:30-3:30.

Assistance available for applying for birth certificates, photo ID cards, Social Insurance and health cards.

Service Canada and Service Ontario Representatives will be on site to answer questions. Call 519 354- 2940 to book an appointment.


The Boston Red Sox had their championship parade yesterday, and some classy fans kept pelting the floats with beer cans.

Mookie Betts was almost taken out by some beers. Manager Alex Cora was hit with in the back with an open beer, and he was not amused.

The World Series trophy was damaged by a flying beer can. Fortunately, the team says that it’s a minor thing, and it can be fixed.

TMZ claims the Red Sox drank $300,000 worth of beer during their World Series party.


KFC ran a contest where they offered $11,000 if someone had a baby on the Colonel’s birthday, September 9th, and named their baby Harland, which was his real name.

And they just announced that someone did it. A couple in North Carolina named their baby girl Harland Rose and won.


With the turn of the calendar to November, today is also the start of Movember.

Men are encouraged to grow moustaches for the month to raise funds and awareness for all the dads, brothers, sons and friends in their life.

Originally a prostate cancer initiative, it has expaned to include testicular cancer and also mental health and suicide prevention.

This year they’re asking men to move. Commit to walking or running 60 kilometres over the month. That’s 60 kilometres for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour.
