100 Women Who Care Chatham-Kent will be meeting tonight at the Retro Suites.

The group of women, meets for one hour, four times per year. They’ve given out close to $90,000 since August, 2016!

At each meeting they hear from three charities that have been nominated by our Care Members and one is selected by majority vote to receive over $10,000!

A Canada-wide test of the Alert Ready System will be conducted today at 1:55pm over radio, TV and wireless devices.

Your phone will either produce a beeping sound or buzz for eight seconds during the testing.

Alert Ready is Canada’s official emergency alert system. In the case of real emergencies, a message would be sent out for imminent threats, including fires, tornadoes, floods, water contamination and Amber Alerts.


After seven months of traveling through space, the NASA InSight mission has landed on Mars and has sent back it’s first picture.

A few minutes after landing, InSight sent the official “beep” to NASA to signal that it was alive and well, including a photo of the Martian surface where it landed.

NASA has successfully landed on the Red Planet for the eighth time in human history.


Starbucks just rolled out their fourth annual Starbucks For Life contest. You have to sign up for their rewards program and then, every day between now and the end of the year, you’ll   get an entry every time you buy something.

Five grand prize winners will get Starbucks for Life, which means one drink for free every day for the next 30 years. They estimate that’s worth $56,575, which works out to around $5 per drink.

Starbucks just rolled out its newest holiday beverage, the Juniper Latte. Junipers are small pine trees, and the latte tastes like one.

So if you want to know what a Christmas tree tastes like, these lattes are on sale now at Starbucks stores across the country and in Canada.
