Festival of Giving tickets go on sale this morning at 10am.
Chatham-Kent’s largest one night fundraiser is April 13th and the theme this year is Wide World of Sports. This is the 18th Festival, raising over $4 million dollars to date.
This year, proceeds from the Festival of Giving will support the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation‘s Butterfly Building Campaign, Building for Kids.
Wide World of Sports on Saturday will feature top-notch entertainment, specialty drinks, food, silent and live auctions, and fundraising!

Point Pelee National Park is closed for two weeks to reduce its deer population.
Park officials said the deer population has grown to three to four times higher than what can be sustained because of several mild winters with light snow cover, and a lack of natural predators such as wolves and bears.
The park will remain closed until January 25.
In NFL playoff action, the Chiefs beat the Colts, The Rams beat the Cowboys, the Patriots beat up on the Chargers, and the Saints beat the Eagles. Next week, it’s the Chiefs against the Patriots, and the Rams against the Saints to see who goes to the Super Bowl.
The NFL has finally confirmed that Maroon 5 will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, February 3rd.
Their guests will be Travis Scott and Big Boi from Outkast, who’s from Atlanta, where the game is taking place.

A mystery account on Instagram has broken Kylie Jenner’s record for the most likes on Instagram — with a photo of an egg. Literally, just an egg.
The photo is the lone post on @world_record_egg’s account. It was published on January 4th.
Kylie’s previous record was 18 million likes on a photo was of Jenner’s newborn, Stormi, posted on February 7th, 2018.
The North American International Auto Show opens today in Detroit for the media. The public show opens on Saturday.
This morning the car, truck and utility vehicle of the year will be announced. On Tuesday, awards will be given for the best production and concept vehicles making a worldwide debut at the show.
This year, the show is expected to be more dynamic, allowing people to actually ride in vehicles on the show floor.
This will be the last show held in the Winter, as previously announced, the 2020 show will move to June.
