The clinic and stem cell swab event is in honour of 21 year old Jocelyn McGlynn who was diagnosed with leukemia (AMML) in November.

Three out of four stem cells donors are male, but yet there are only about 22% of males on the registry.

The City of Vancouver issued and extreme weather alert yesterday morning. The temperatures dipped to -2.

Because of the forecast, the city made shelter space available and opened warming centres.

With the windchill it felt like almost -6.


Goose Island Brewery in Chicago is allowing angry Bears fans a chance to put their money where their mouth is, by offering a year of free beer to any fan who can make the 43-yard field goal that Cody Parkey missed.

They’re building a goal post outside their building, and this Saturday, fans can show up and try to make that 43-yarder.


The very first restaurant serving only nude diners has announced it will shut down after just 15 months in business due to a lack of customers.

The nudist restaurant O’Naturel in Paris, France plans to close its’ doors for good on February 16th.

Customers could only dine by reservation and were asked to leave their clothes, phones and cameras in the restaurant’s cloakroom. Men were given slippers to wear while women could opt to wear their own heels. The meals were served by a fully-clothed wait staff.

Black seat covers covered the chairs and were changed between sittings.
