Ford Motor Company is unveiling an all-new pickup truck; in emoji form. The company announced yesterday that they are celebrating World Emoji Day by debuting the pickup truck emoji.
Last year, they submitted a proposal to the Unicode Consortium, which reviews and approves proposals on new emojis. After a review, the group determined that the pickup truck emoji has been added to the shortlist of candidates to be included in a future release of emojis.
If the emoji is approved early next year, it will be customized for all mobile platforms.

American Eagle confirmed that it is planning to offer buy-now, pay-later purchase services.
Several retailers including Abercrombie and Urban Outfitters already offer similar services. Their customers are able to purchase an item and spread the cost across four installments.
Analysts say buy-now, pay-later encourages shoppers to spend more money and is especially appealing to younger shoppers with less disposable income.
Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is going to be available for rent during the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago next month.
The Wienermobile is being turned into an Airbnb RV. Guests can book a one-night stay in the vehicle. The Wienermobile sleeps two.
The deal does not include concert tickets.
