A Toronto woman set up an online petition that calls for fines to be laid against people who call 911 to complain about Amber Alerts, and it’s gaining momentum.
As of this morning over 62,000 people have signed it.
So far this year, Amber Alerts have been issued on five separate occasions in Ontario. Four resulted in the safe return of children.

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has made some recommendations to the province regarding alcohol sales.
The chamber says alcohol producers should be permitted to sell their products on online, which is currently not permitted. The report recommends a further expansion of alcohol sales at farmers markets and home delivery.
The chamber also says airports should be provided with liquor law exemptions that allow them to sell alcohol 24 hours a day.
These are just a few of the 35 recommendations submitted to the province.
Macy’s is removing plates from their housewares department that contain fat-shaming messages. The plates are light blue and white and contain circles with portion sizes that read ”skinny jeans”, ”favorite jeans” and ”mom jeans”. The ‘mom jeans’ represent the largest portion size circle on the plate.

The World Santa Claus Congress is meeting in Denmark this week to celebrate Christmas in July.
The event has been held every year since 1957 in Copenhagen.
Santa’s from around the world get together to network and brainstorm. There’s also boat trips, parades and a fashion show.
