5 Things You Need To Know

It’s Wednesday, which means the Chatham Concert Band will have a free show in Tecumseh Park tonight! Every Wednesday night through the summer you can bring a lawn chair and enjoy some live music. Tonight’s theme is Big Band Extravaganza. The concert begins at 7:30 weather permitting.

If you think you’ve noticed more freight trains in Chatham lately, you are correct. Because of a derailment in the Sarnia-Port Huron Tunnel on Friday, more trains are using the Chatham/Windsor line.

An additional 6 freight trains per day will be sharing the Via Rail line until at least Saturday. Read more here.

All outdoor pools opened for the summer season in Chatham-Kent yesterday. You can see the pool schedules and a list of free sponsored swims here.

There’s been a recall on some MacBook Pro Laptops because of a potential fire hazard. The majority of the reported fires are from the USA, but if you bought your Macbook online it likely came from there.

Affected models would have been purchased between September 2015 and February 2017 and are the ones with the 15.4 inch display, 2.2-2.5 GHz processors, 256 GB-1 TB solid state storage, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, two USB 3 ports, and one HDMI port.

If you have one, stop using it and send it in for a free repair.

Brace yourselves…People magazine claims Taco Bell is experiencing a tortilla shortage at a number of its restaurants.

They released a statement saying, “While some Taco Bell restaurants are experiencing supplier shortages, we are working diligently to replenish the supply of our tortillas (used for products like quesadillas and burritos) in those restaurants and encourage fans to try any of our other delicious menu items like the Power Menu Bowl or Cheesy Gordita Crunch in the meantime. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and appreciate our customers’ patience.”
