Eliud Kipchoge made history Saturday by becoming the first person to run a marathon in under two hours.

Eliud ran the 42 KMs in Vienna, Austria in 1:59:40.

But it comes with an asterik; Kipchoge’s performance will not be recognized as an official world record.

The event was not an open competition; it was held for Kipchoge and Kipchoge alone. A rotating cast of runners shielded him from wind throughout the run, and a bicycle-riding support team was on hand at all times to deliver him water and fuel.


San Antonio has been invaded by crickets.

Almost overnight last week, the crickets seemed to start appearing across the city.

A dry summer, recent rain, and a cold front are to blame.


Seth Everman just broke a YouTube record — for a comment. Everman wrote the first-ever comment to reach 1 million likes.

He left the comment on Billie Eilish’s bad guy music video five months ago. His comment simply read, “i’m the bald guy.”
