The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) reported on yesterday that the winning Lotto Max ticket for the $70 million jackpot from the Tuesday draw was sold in Chatham-Kent.
Check your tickets from home at OLG.ca or by using the OLG Lottery App on their mobile device.
The OLG Prize Centre is currently closed to the public. OLG recommends that anyone who believes they have the winning ticket sign it if they have not already, validate it at an authorized OLG retail location and keep safe the signed ticket and the validation slip received from the retailer.
The next Lotto Max jackpot is estimated at $39 million.
Blenheim Cherryfest and Sidewalk sales, one of Chatham-Kent’s longest-running and oldest festivals, has been cancelled for this Summer. It’s been a yearly tradition since the ’60s.
The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation’s Over the Edge fundraiser has been rescheduled from June 2020 to June 19, 2021. The goal was to have residents raise a minimum of $1,000 and they would then get to rappel down the Holiday Inn Express in Chatham. Although the fundraiser is being pushed back, participants will still be entered into a draw to win a new car as Lally Auto Group, the lead sponsor, will still support the fundraiser in 2021.

Parks Canada says there will be no camping or group activities at all national parks across the country until at least June.
All events at national parks, national historic sites, heritage canals and national marine conservation areas are suspended until May 31st, at least.
Parks Canada will not be taking new reservations until June 1 and all existing reservations up until then are being cancelled and refunded in full.
