The Dresden Summer Night Market is being postponed to 2021.

The Christmas Night Market is still on the calendar, but the final decision will be made in the next few months.

Premier Doug Ford hinted earlier this week at some “good news” coming during his press conference later today.

“It will be stage one of three stages, and it’s very important that the people of Ontario follow the protocols and we will hit stage one on Thursday,” said Ford.

Rumours are that golf courses and retail stores will be re-opening.

He’s scheduled to speak at 1pm.


Shopify Inc. passed the Royal Bank of Canada last week to become the most valuable public company in Canada.

The company reported first quarter revenue of $470 million(US), roughly US$24 million above the top end of its forecast three months ago., so the key takeaway was that Shopify remains an essential service for the million merchants that use the company’s e-commerce platform.


The Dunlap Cafe in Ohio has started selling Happy Meals for adults.

It includes all the normal happy meal components; the box, an entrée, a side, even a prize (a beverage Koozie) and a dessert. The one thing that sets it apart from McDonald’s Happy Meals? It comes with your choice of alcoholic beverage.

There’s a Soccer Mom Box too that comes with a White Claw.


Today is National Caesar Day! National Caesar Day falls each year on the Thursday before the May 2-4 long weekend – the unofficial Canadian kick-off to Summer.

The Caesar was invented in 1969 by the restaurant manager of the Calgary Inn (today it’s the Westin Hotel) in Calgary, Alberta. It’s now known as Canada’s National Cocktail.

THE CLASSIC CAESAR
Ingredients
1 oz (30 mL) vodka
2 dashes hot sauce
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
3 grinds fresh cracked salt and pepper
4 oz (120 mL) Mott’s Clamato Original Cocktail

Rimmer
Celery salt or Mott’s Clamato Rimmer

Garnish
Celery stalk or lime wedge

Direction
Rim a highball glass with citrus and rimmer. Fill the glass to the top with ice. Add the ingredients in the order listed. Stir well to mix the cocktail, and garnish.
