May 20th is the 141st day of the year. There are 225 days remaining until the end of the year.
Premier Doug Ford announced yesterday that the school year is finished in Ontario.
“We cannot open schools at this time, I’m just not going to risk it.”
Online learning will continue and all students K-12 will receive a report card. Secondary school students who were on track to graduate at the conclusion of this academic year will be allowed to do so.
A plan to safely reopen schools in September will be made public by the end of June.
Ford also announced Tuesday afternoon that private schools, licenced daycare centres, and EarlyON Centres will remain closed. The province is expected to gradually reopen child care once Stage Two of the three-part reopening plan begins.
The health of Ontario’s children is our top priority and we have made the decision to put their safety first. Schools will remain closed until the end of June. We have launched an updated #LearnAtHome portal and expanded summer learning opportunities. https://t.co/HKoSuWE9zL pic.twitter.com/Vb5Dcp9T1s

Kellogg’s just redesigned Toucan Sam from Froot Loops.
They took his blue body colour and made it brighter and more turquoise, gave him anime cartoon style eyes and added a psychedelic rainbow pattern to his beak.
Based on the responses on social media, the verdict is, no one likes it.
