They’re going to try and make history again tomorrow as the first crew to fly in SpaceX‘s Crew Dragon capsule, on a mission to the International Space Station.
The original launch was scrubbed on Wednesday from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida because of weather.
It’ll also be the first time astronauts have flown to the ISS from U.S. soil in almost a decade, since 2011 — when NASA retired the Space Shuttle Program.
The launch is scheduled for 3:22 tomorrow afternoon. Weather permitting. The “pre-launch show” begins at 2 on Discovery.
The Maple City Slo-Pitch League has made the decision to cancel the 2020 season due to the ongoing concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was made with the health and safety of all players/coaches/umpires/officials.
The Boston Marathon is officially canceled. That ends a 124-year run that remained untouched by two World Wars, a volcanic eruption and even a pandemic early in the 20th Century.
The race was originally postponed from April 20th to September 14th, but the city decided even that date wasn’t going to work.
However, there will be a virtual race, where runners who verify that they ran 26.2 miles on their own will receive a finisher’s medal.
The @BAA has announced that the 124th Boston Marathon will be held as a virtual event, following Boston Mayor Martin Walsh’s cancellation of the marathon as a mass participation road running event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. pic.twitter.com/tlIdvsU9sq
