May 6th is the 127th day of the year. There are 239 days remaining until the end of the year.
Prepare for some cold weather around South Western Ontario over the next few days.
An Environment Canada meteorologist says record lows will probably be set Friday night when the night-time low falls below 0C.
Usually, Southwestern Ontario can expect a night-time low of 7 C or 8 C at the beginning of May. During the day, Southwestern Ontario typically reaches 20 C, but over the past two days, temperatures have been almost 10 C cooler.
It’ll probably be a week or so before we get back to usual temperatures in these parts.

Twitter is now going to warn users who are about to post an offensive tweet and ask them to reconsider.
The company announced yesterday that it would be “running a limited experiment on iOS” where you can revise your reply to a tweet before it is published, if they see that it contains language that could be harmful.
Twitter’s policies do not allow users to target individuals with slurs, racist or sexist tropes, or degrading content, but the company has been criticised for allowing this content to exist.
When things get heated, you may say things you don’t mean. To let you rethink a reply, we’re running a limited experiment on iOS with a prompt that gives you the option to revise your reply before it’s published if it uses language that could be harmful.

Earlier this week we told you about murder hornets and how they have made their way from Asia to North America for the first time.
Apparently, they make for a delicious snack.
In Japan, where the murder hornets kill up to 50 people a year, people have been eating them for a while. They’re even considered a delicacy.
It turns out they’re pretty high in protein, and since they’re two inches long, they’re easy to pan fry and serve on a skewer. And more than 30 fancy restaurants have them on the menu.
“People have compared it to a popcorn-y flavour without the butter.”
