June 25th is the 177th day of the year. There are 189 days remaining until the end of the year.
It took a while, but parts of Windsor-Essex are now in Phase 2.
Premier Doug Ford announced yesterday afternoon that, with the exception of Leamington and Kingsville, Windsor-Essex is moving to Stage Two. As of 12:01am this morning, Windsor, Tecumseh, LaSalle, Amherstburg, Lakeshore and Essex may allow additional businesses to reopen.
Stage 2 allows for bars and restaurants to resume dining-room service at reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing, and for services like barber and beauty shops to reopen.

Rubik’s Cube will be celebrating the toy’s 40th anniversary today by attempting a Guinness World Record for most people simultaneously solving cubes.
Rubik’s will stream live on YouTube at 3pm an attempt to beat the world record of 3,997 people simultaneously solving Rubik’s Cubes.
The company said Guinness set special rules for the live streamed event, including requiring at least 20,000 people to tune into the live stream for at least 10 minutes.
Rubik’s is also teaming with Breakfast Club of Canada, a charity supporting children and families with food insecurity. The company said it will donate about 30 cents from each Rubik’s Cube sale in June and July to the charity.

The Niagara Power Generating Station is opening as a tourist destination next summer.
The Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station is a massive facility that operated for around 100 years, sits right atop the Falls with limestone walls and majestic architecture. In 2006 the station was decommissioned, and now it’s about to be used in a very different way.
Phase one of the project is set to open in July 2021. Each night, the station will have 3D projection mapping that shows the history and impressive architecture. You’ll be able to follow the flow of water to the turbines through augmented reality and even work the control room by using the century-old levers and buttons.
Phase two of the experience will open in July 2022. In this portion of the attraction, you’ll be able to explore deep beneath the ground. A glass elevator will transport guests 200 feet below the main floor to the massive tunnel that connects the station to the Niagara River. You can wander through the huge, century-old tunnel and arrive beside the base of Horseshoe Falls.
