September 18th is the 262nd day of the year. There are 104 days remaining until the end of the year.


The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit reported no new COVID19 cases Thursday. There remains three active cases. No one is hospitalized.

Ontario reported 293 cases across the province. 187 of those cases are from the Toronto, Peel, and Ottawa. 70% of the new cases are in people under the age of 40.


Because of the high numbers in the Toronto, Peel and Ottawa region, Premier Doug Ford has reduced the gathering limits in those regions.

Starting today indoor gathering limits would be reduced from 50 to 10. Outdoor gatherings are slashed from 100 people to only 25. These new rules are in place for social events and gatherings, like parties in backyards and parks. However, they will not be applied to businesses such as movie theatres and gyms.

Premier Ford also announced that Ontario’s party fines are increasing for hosts. Organizers of these events will now be fined five figures — the highest in the country.


The Stanley Cup Finals are set. The Dallas Stars will play the Tampa Bay Lightning beginning Saturday night.

All games in the best-of-7 series will be played at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

Sony has released the PS5 price and official Canadian release date.

The console will be available in Canada on November 12th, and will cost $629 for the original and $499 for the digital version.


One of the world’s biggest T. rex skeletons is up for sale.

A 40-foot T-Rex skeleton is going to be auctioned off in New York next month. It was found in 1987 near Buffalo, South Dakota.

Paleontologists spent three years exhuming the 188-bone skeleton. The dinosaur died 60 million years ago. It is expected to sell for around $8 million.
