One for the 797 reported cases across the province, and the other for the amount of tests completed in a single day – over 48,000. 83% of the new positive cases are in Toronto, Ottawa, York and Peel.
The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit didn’t have any new cases reported yesterday.
One cases has recovered, there are now currently just 2 active cases.

Netflix Canada is increasing some of its prices again.
The streaming giant says the basic plan for subscribers remains unchanged at $9.99 a month, but the standard monthly plan is going up by one dollar to $14.99, and the premium by two dollars to $18.99.
Existing members will be notified about the change via email and the Netflix app 30 days before the new prices are applied to them. The last price increase in Canada was in November 2018.

It’s Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.
Thanks to a 1957 act of parliament making the 2nd Monday in October ‘a day of general thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed’.
Historians believe the first North American “Thanksgiving” event occurred in Newfoundland in 1578. That would put it 43 years before the Pilgrims landing in Massachusetts in 1621. Others claim the first Canadian Thanksgiving was celebrated in Halifax in 1763. It became an annual Canadian tradition in 1879, celebrated on the same day as the USA. It was later moved ahead to reflect the earlier harvest season.
