5 Things You Need To Know

NBA Free Agency opened over the weekend and the Raptors resigned a big piece of their championship season, Fred VanVleet.

VanVleet will wear a Raps uniform for another four years after agreeing to a four-year, $85M deal.

On Friday, it was also announced that the Raptors would begin the 2020-21 season playing in Tampa.

All month at McDonald’s you can help families with sick children in our community.

Now until November 30th a portion of proceeds for every fry purchased will support Ronald McDonald House and you can round up your order to the nearest dollar for RMHC, all year.

Apparently 2020 won’t go down in history as being all bad. Why?

Scientists may have developed a new way to solve one of society’s smelliest problems: stinky feet.

Swiss researchers say that wearing socks coated in zinc oxide nanoparticles can prevent foot odor and ‘pitted keratolysis’, which is a bacterial infection that leads to smelly feet.

In a study involving 148 cadets at the Thai Naval Rating School, those wearing zinc-coated socks reported much fewer foul odors coming from their feet than other soldiers.

The researchers say these new socks could provide a new primary prevention option for both military personnel and civilians who are susceptible to “these embarrassing and unpleasant conditions.”
