February 10th is the 41st day of 2021. There are 324 days remaining until the end of the year.
Starting February 15th, anyone arriving through the U.S.-Canada land border will be tested for COVID-19 and must produce a negative result upon entry.
Prime Minister Trudeau made that announcement Tuesday.
The government began requiring all people arriving in Canada by air to show a negative COVID-19 test in early January.
Trudeau said the federal government cannot prevent Canadians from returning to the country at a land border, even without a test, but if they don’t have the required test they can be fined up to $3,000.
Update on border measures: As of February 15th, when you return to Canada through a land border, you’ll need to show a negative PCR test result from the past 72 hours – just like you would if you were flying back into the country.
