Non-essential travel restrictions between Canada and the United States have been extended until April 21st to help prevent further spread of COVID-19.
Canada’s shared border with the United States was originally closed to casual, non-essential travel last year on March 21st, ten days after a global pandemic was declared.
New quarantine and testing requirements for those coming to Canada were rolled out in February. Right now, all travellers, with some exceptions for essential workers, must isolate for 14 days upon arrival, no matter if they came into the country via land or air.
Update on our border: Non-essential travel restrictions between Canada and the US have been extended by another 30 days – until April 21st. We’ll continue to do whatever is necessary to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Facebook is working on building a version of Instagram for kids under 13. They didn’t say when it might come out.
Current Instagram policy forbids children under the age of 13 from using the service.
They say they’re focusing on privacy and safety with the app, but Facebook already has a version of Facebook Messenger for kids ages six to 12, and it’s had plenty of privacy and safety issues.
Instagram has stated that the project is in the very early stages, with no release date anytime soon.
