March 8th is the 67th day of 2021. There are 298 days remaining until the end of the year.


It’s International Women’s Day, part of Women’s History Month.

International Women’s Day was first suggested at a 1910 women’s conference in Copenhagen by activist Clara Zetkin. The first “IWD” was observed in Germany the next year.

It’s a national holiday in China and Russia, where female workers are presented with flowers and gifts.

The theme this year is #ChooseToChallenge; A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. So let’s all choose to challenge.


Ontario reported the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in more than three weeks on Sunday.

1,299 positive cases were reported across the province on Sunday.

It’s the highest number of new infections in a single day since Feb. 13, when 1,300 new cases were logged.
Chatham-Kent Public Health doesn’t update on the weekends. On Friday, there were 11 local active cases.


The Chatham-Kent Vaccination Centre will not be open today; the freezers are empty!

C-K Public Health is waiting for the next shipment of vaccines to arrive and plan on reopening tomorrow.

Twitter is testing an ‘undo send’ feature.

It will allow users to redact their tweets moments after hitting the send button but it’s not the edit button many Twitter users have been asking for. There are even rumours that Twitter may include it as a paid option in the future.

There’s currently no indication of when the Undo Sent feature will be made widely accessible by the public.


Oklahoma is now offering a $2.1 million bounty on anyone who hunts Bigfoot.

The number one rule, Sasquatchers must capture Bigfoot unharmed and can’t injure anyone else or break any laws in the process.

The whole thing is a tourism play, they’re hoping it brings people to the state to go on Bigfoot hunts.

State tourism officials are now developing a Bigfoot promotional campaign that includes license plates, decals, an annual commemorative tracking license and “Bigfoot checkout stations.” or that it may run aground and remain close to the Brunt Ice Shelf.
