3 new COVID-19 cases were reported Wednesday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.

There were 11 resolved cases. The active number of cases is now at 35.

Ontario reported 4,156 new cases of COVID-19 and the deaths of 28 more people with the illness on Wednesday, while public health units administered a new record-high number of vaccine doses.

The Ministry of Health says that 112,817 shots of vaccines were given out yesterday.


Mobile clinics are coming to Wheatley and Highgate this week.

At the Wheatley Arena today from 11-6:30. This clinic will be using a drive thru model but will also have an option for those without a vehicle.

The Baseline Bridge in Wallaceburg will be closed for approximately three weeks -until May 5, to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Small boats will have access during construction (2.6m x 12m opening) however large boats requiring the bridge to be opened will not have access until May 15, 2021.

Once the asphalt paving has been completed, the bridge will be closed daily for approximately 10 working days, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. in order to complete balancing and commissioning of the structure prior to the bridge being reopened to vehicles and pedestrians on May 14.


Organizers of the Juno Awards say they’ve postponed this year’s 50th anniversary celebration until June 6 “out of an abundance of caution in response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.”

It’s the second delay for the show, which was pushed from March until May 16 in hopes that some performances could be held outdoors.


Netflix Is Going to Teach You How to Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Netflix has teamed up with the meditation app Headspace for a new show called “Headspace Guide to Sleep”. It premieres in two weeks and is supposed to help you fall asleep

Each 15-minute episode explores a new topic, like insomnia, stress, whether looking at your phone in bed is really that bad, and sleeping pills. And then end with a “guided wind-down designed to help you on your journey to better sleep.”
