The Third Street Bridge construction in downtown Chatham was scheduled to begin today, but it’s been pushed back a week.
Scheduling challenges due to the pandemic has delayed the work until next Monday, May 3rd.
For only the third time in the last week, Ontario is reported less than 4,000 new cases on Sunday.
There were 3,947 new postive cases. 1,136 alone in Toronto.
Chatham-Kent Public Health doesn’t release numbers on the weekend. On Friday 6 new cases were reported, 4 recoveries for a total of 40 active cases.
Canadian tennis star Bianca Andreescu has tested positive for COVID-19.
Andreescu made the announcement on social media and added she will not be playing in the upcoming Madrid Open.

Andreescu, the 2019 U.S. Open champion, played at the Miami Open earlier this month, reaching the final against Australian Ashleigh Barty. But the Mississauga, Ont., native was forced to retire with an ankle injury.
