Two new positive COVID-19 cases reported over the weekend Monday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.
There was one recovery, total active case count locally is at 3.
There were 210 positive cases across Ontario Monday; the lowest daily count since mid-September. The test positivity rate is 1.8%, down from 2.5% last week.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s COVID-19 Assessment Centre is moving from the St. Clair College Healthplex to Grand Ave this week.
As of July 1st, residents who want to get tested for the virus will have to go to 10 Grand Avenue West in Chatham (the 7-Eleven plaza)
For anyone with appointments booked on June 30, testing will continue to take place at the St. Clair College HealthPlex with no disruption to service.
The assessment centre will continue to operate from 9-5, seven days a week.

The Windsor Spitfires will open the 2021-22 Ontario Hockey League season at home against the Sarnia Sting on October 8th.
Sarnia’s home opener will be the next night against the Spits.
The London Knights home opener will be October 8th vs Grande Pointe’s Denny Goure and the Owen Sound Attack.
The full 68-game schedule will be released later today.
The Foundation Chatham-Kent Health Alliance‘s Healthcare 50/50 tickets has now raised over $100,000 in total – with half going to one lucky winner on August 5th.
Proceeds from this year’s 50/50 will support the purchase of six new Electrocardiograph (ECG) machines.

The record for the hottest temperature in Canada has been broken once again, just a day after being set. The new all-time high was set in Lytton, British Columbia.
Environment Canada said temperatures reached a scorching 47.5C (117.5F) in Lytton on Monday afternoon, topping the previous record of 46.1 C from Sunday also in Lytton.
Before the record breaking couple of days, the highest temperature ever recorded in the country was in Saskatchewan more than 80 years ago.
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Chatham-Kent for relating to the expected extreme heat.
