Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Tuesday that the province’s minimum wage rates will rise to $15 an hour starting January 1st, 2022.

Liquor servers’ are also getting a pay bump from $12.55 an hour to $15, too.

Students under 18 who work an average of 28 hours a week or less while they’re at school or working during a school break will receive $14.10 an hour (which is a 60 cent raise from the current $13.50 per hour.)

Ontario’s minimum wage went up by ten cents to $14.35 per hour just last month.


The Atlanta Braves are World Series champs. They beat the Houston Astros 7-0 and won the series 4 games to 2.

This is their first World Series title since 1995.

Braves General Manager Alex Anthopolous is the first Canadian GM to win the World Series.


Tilbury’s Brett Brochu has been named the Ontario Hockey League Goaltender of the Month for October.

The former Dresden Jr. King was undefeated in the month going 8-0. He has won 17 consecutive games for the London Knights dating back to February 14, 2020.

The OHL Goaltender of the Month honour is Brochu’s third in a row dating back to January and February of 2020 prior to the season being halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.


The Bradley Centre Vaccination Clinic will be open today 3-7:30 for Pfizer vaccinations.

The clinic is for anyone 12+ looking for first or second shots. Walk in appointments are available, for the last time.
