There were 26 resolved cases, the total active case count locally is now 138.

Chatham-Kent Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby is reintroducing gathering limits and other measures, with the increase in positive cases locally.

Effective Friday at 12:01 a.m. – and until further notice – the social gathering limit of 25 people for indoor events will be cut to 10.

This restriction, however, won’t apply to weddings, funerals or religious services, which will have to navigate their own set of rules, including a ban on receiving lines; assigned seating for attendees; mandatory face coverings, unless eating or drinking; limiting capacity to maintain appropriate physical distancing; and keeping a contact list of attendees in case public health needs to contact trace.

On the weekend Windsor-Essex announced it will be reinstating certain health measures as well due to growing concerns of COVID-19 cases. There have been 187 new cases reported over the last three days.

There’s a blood donor clinic this afternoon at the Chatham-Kent YMCA from 1-7.
