Starting next Tuesday (January 18) the Ontario Government will set electricity prices at the current off-peak rate of 8.2 cents per kilowatt-hour, which is less than half the cost of the current on-peak rate.
The off-peak rate will apply automatically to customers on both Time-of-Use and Tiered rate plans.
Ontario will provide 21 days worth of electricity-rate relief during the province’s current public health measures.

This year’s Wiarton Willie Festival and prediction will be done virtually.
Viewers will not be watching an albino groundhog make its prognostication this year. The Town’s albino prognosticator passed away leaving a brown groundhog in charge of making the 2022 prediction. The Town has been looking for another albino groundhog to replace the deceased Willie, but haven’t been able to find one.
The prediction will be at 8:07am on February 2nd and will be accessible on a live feed. Links to the live feed will be provided closer to the event.
