Major League Baseball opened the 2022 season on Thursday.

Today the Tigers and Jays begin their seasons.

The rebuilding Tigers will play the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park this afternoon at 1:10.

The Jays begin their season at the Rogers Centre tonight against the Texas Rangers at 7:07.

The Jays are in Detroit for three games over the June 10th weekend. The Tigers have 4 games in Toronto July 28-31st.


Gas in the province fell 2 cents on Thursday and is expected to drop another 4 cents on average today, down to 171.9 cents per litre.

The cheapest cities for gas today will be Windsor, London, and Cornwall, which will all see prices at 163.9 cents per litre. Thunder Bay continues to be the priciest spot to fill up at 188.9 per litre.

Plans are underway for in-person Canada Day festivities in Ottawa for the first time in three years.

After two summers of online celebrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers are planning for an in-person celebration for Canada’s 155th birthday July 1st.

Canada Day 2022 programming will be released on the Canadian Heritage.
