CKRecreation hosts Movie In the Park every Friday evening this Summer at a different C-K park.

Stop by Chatham’s Kingston Park tonight at dusk to see Onward.

Bring your lawn chair and the family out and enjoy the movie.

Couple of farmers markets in C-K this weekend.

The Wallaceburg Farmers Market is open 8am-noon in the municipal parking lot on James St. It’ll run bi-weekly until October.

Ridgetown will host a Farmers Market Saturday 8-noon. The market will be held is Main St. every Saturday until October 8th.


RM’s Cars & Coffee is back this Saturday.

Cruise on in to RM Classic Cars (One Classic Car Drive, Blenheim, Ontario) for a morning of all things automotive. There are three total Cars & Coffee events this summer; tomorrow is the second and the final event will be September 10th.

Come out 8–11am, rain or shine, with coffee & donuts will be on hand for the first 250 guests.

The event is a chance for enthusiasts to get to know the RM Auto Restoration team and get a glimpse inside the shop that helped dub Chatham-Kent ‘Canada’s Classic Car Capital’.

Local breweries Bayside Brewing, Sons of Kent and Red Barn Brewing have teamed up for BrewFest 2022; Outdoor summer parties hosted at the breweries sponsored by Teksavvy.

The first one was EauFest held last month.

Saturday, Sons of Kent will host FunkFest. Red Barn Brewing Company hosts FarmFest September 3rd.


The tallest and longest single-rail coaster in the world will open on Saturday.

Wonder Woman Flight of Courage is at Six Flags Magic Mountain near L.A.

Riders will travel across the 3,300-foot track, up 13 stories and reach speeds up to 93 km/per hour.

This is a single-rail ride, meaning only on one rail compared to two that other coasters ride on.

Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, will officially remain the tallest roller coaster in the world. Its upside-down U-shaped track is 45 stories — or 456 feet — and goes from zero to 128 miles per hour (206 km/hr!) in 3.5 seconds. The track, however, is only 3,118 feet long.
