CTV National News anchor Lisa LaFlamme has been let go by Bell Media after 35 years.
LaFlamme was informed on June 29 by Bell Media that her contract would not be renewed and that the media outlet was going “in a different direction.”
In 2010, LaFlamme was named the successor to Lloyd Robertson as the full-time anchor of CTV National News.
LaFlamme was named to the Order of Canada in 2019 and earlier this year won best news anchor at the Canadian Screen Awards.

It’s already Week 7 of the CKRecreation Summerfest!
On Thursday the Party in the Park in Bothwell at Victoria Park 5-8pm. Stop by for lots of fun activities, crafts and Play Rangers absolutely free for the who family.
The Movie in the Park will roll into Memorial Park, Tilbury on Friday. Come by to see Wall-E. Movie starts at dusk.
Ever Saturday and Sunday are Beach Days in Erieau & Mitchell’s Bay 11-4pm and Play Rangers in Kingston Park.

The Amazing Race Canada will hit London tonight.
Filmed last April, the episode will showcase different locations around the city. Amazing Race Canada is on CTV tonight at 9pm.
Now in its eighth season, the show features 10 teams of two players with pre-existing relationships in a race across Canada. One team is eliminated after each leg of the competition until the final pair is left standing to win the grand prize of two Chevrolet Silverado ZR2’s, a “once-in-a-lifetime” round world trip for two, and a $250,000 cash prize.
