This is the 95th season of the Concert Band’s Summer Concert Series.

Every Wednesday the band plays free in the park. Bring your family, lawn chairs and pets.

Chatham-Kent Public Health is hosting a couple pop up COVID-19 pediatric vaccination clinics this week.

  • Today: CK Public Health Clinic Services (177 King St. E)(Pediatric Clinic 6 months to 5 years old only) 4-6pm
  • Friday: CK Public Health Clinic Services (177 King St. E)(Pediatric Clinic 6 months to 5 years old only) 9-12pm

Fill Up the Bus this weekend!

Outreach for Hunger food bank and FreeHelpCK are collecting food and school supplies for families needing a helping hand.

On Saturday school buses will be located outside Sobeys, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, Food Basics, and Giant Tiger in Chatham. There will also be a big yellow bus parked at the No Frills in Wallaceburg, Foodland in Dresden, as well as at the Foodland and No Frills in Tilbury.

This year, the goal is to get 500 backpacks to students across the region. Some of the suggested donations are juice boxes, healthy school snacks, canned fruit and vegetables, oatmeal, crackers, backpacks, and school supplies.

All donations will be delivered to Chatham Outreach for Hunger and the Free Help CK backpack program.


Calgary Flames star Jonathan Huberdeau has pledged to donate his brain to Project Enlist Canada for research on brain injuries.

170 Canadian armed forces members and veterans also made the pledge.

The program researches traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in military veterans to better treat and diagnose those injuries.


Gas prices are expected to drop across the province today to an average of 163.9 cents per litre.

The cheapest gas in Ontario is in Peterborough at 156.6 cents per litre, while the most expensive is Sudbury at 174.3 cents per litre.

This morning in Chatham and Wallaceburg it’s 165 cents per litre on average and 167 in Tilbury.
