Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent and most of Southwestern Ontario.
Wind gusts of up 90 kilometres per hour are possible in some areas this afternoon and evening. Some of these wind gusts may be accompanied by showers or thunderstorms.
High winds may result in damaged hydro lines and power outages. Loose objects may be tossed around. Soft shelters, tents, awnings, and similar objects may also be damaged.
Winds are expected to die down early Thursday morning with the front coming through.
The first ever C-K Crowfest begins today.
Crowfest is a celebration of all things “crow” in Chatham-Kent. There will be daily activities taking place in downtown Chatham beginning with the Great Crane Escape tonight at the Chatham Armoury beginning at 6.
