The United Way of Chatham-Kent and Women United are hosting a drive thru drop off to collect menstrual products from 9-3 today at the Chatham-Kent Nonprofit Centre at 425 McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.

Feminine hygiene products are some of the most requested, but under-donated, items at food banks and outreach programs throughout the community.

The donations will be divided up and given to organizations and programs throughout Chatham-Kent.


Movies @ Your Library are back! Hosted by the Chatham branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library every Tuesday.

There is limited space, registration is required.


Loblaws is freezing prices on all its No Name products until next year.

Loblaws owns Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart among others.

The No Name line includes more than 1,500 grocery items. Prizes will be frozen until January 31, 2023.

The price of an average basket of groceries is up about 10% this year with some items like apples, soup and chips up even more.


The 2022-23 NBA Season begins tonight.

The Boston Celtics host the Philadelphia 76ers in the first game, and the reigning league champions Golden State Warriors hosting the Los Angeles Lakers in the second game.

The Toronto Raptors open at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday. The Detroit Pistons tip off at Little Caesars Arena Wednesday against the Orlando Magic.

The Warriors are the defending champions and have won four titles in the last eight seasons.


Still waiting for one series to wrap up in the MLB postseason.

Game 5 of the New York Yankees/Cleveland Guardians playoff series was postponed last night due to rain. It was rescheduled for today at 4pm.

The winner willl move on to play the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series, it begins tomorrow.

Game 1 of the National League Championship Series is tonight at 8, with the San Diego Padres hosting the Philadelphia Phillies.
