The annual Chatham Goodfellows Porch Light is tonight.

Just leave your porchlight on and donate! Chatham Goodfellows volunteers will be travelling through the community to accept cash, toys and food donations from people who leave their porchlight on.

$50,087 was raised last year.

The Street Sales are next Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th.

Today is Cyber Monday. The biggest online shopping day of the year.

Its creation was no accident. According to research and analysis, there were noticeable increases in online spending on the Monday after the U.S. Thanksgiving, on November 28, 2005, a press release said: “Cyber Monday Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year.”

Online sales have gone up every year since.

Retail analysts say that’s the best day to buy a computer.


High’s and low’s for Canadian sports fans on Sunday.

The Canadian men’s national soccer team scored their first ever World Cup goal; Alphonso Davies struck after just 67 seconds. But Canada still ended up losing to Croatia 4-1. The loss eliminates Canada from round-of-16 consideration with one game left on Thursday.

It was a landmark day for Canadian Tennis on Sunday. Canada captured its first Davis Cup title in team history, defeating the Australians 2-0 in Spain.

Canada lifted the trophy for the first time since its they first played in the tournament back in 1913. The Davis Cup has been around since 1900.


The municipality is naming more snowplows this winter and they need your votes!

Chatham-Kent has partnered with WINMAR to name snowplows. WINMAR is covering the costs.

Voting closes on Wednesday, with the new names to be announced in December.


A U.K. fisherman caught at 67lb gold fish in France.

The 20-year-old female koi carp goes by the name Carrot.

According to Bluewater Lakes, a carp fishery, The Carrot was first put into the pond about 15 years ago and has proved to be a slippery fish ever since.

She continues to grow while evading most anglers. She’s believed to be the second largest of her type ever caught.

It took Hackett about 25 minutes to reel The Carrot in. Once he had her, he slipped her out of the water for a few quick photos and she was released.
