5 Things You Need To Know

December 1st is the 335th day of the year. There are 30 days remaining until the end of the year.

The CP Holiday Train stops at the John D. Bradley Centre today at 2:30.

The train is making its way across Canada and the U.S. for its first cross-continent tour after three years of virtual concerts.

The event is free but CP encourages people to bring food donations to help address hunger in their communities. Local food banks will be accepting donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food this holiday season.

Country artists Lindsay Ell and Texas Hill will be performing between 2:45 and 3:15.

The City of London is working to open the Storybook Gardens skating trail this weekend.

The hope is to have Storybook Gardens’ skating trail open on Saturday. The trail will be open every Tuesday to Thursday from 2-8pm, Fridays 2-5:45pm, Saturdays 9:30am to 8pm, and Sundays 9:30am to 5:45pm..

Admission is $4.50 for adults and $3.50 for those 17 and under. Skate rentals are available for $6.50 per person.

Canada plays it’s last game at the World Cup this morning against Morocco.

Canada, already eliminated, is hoping to leave Qatar with its first win. Morocco would advance with a victory or a draw. There is a chance they could reach the round of 16 with a loss, depending on the result of Belgium’s match with Croatia.

Canada is 0-5 in World Cup play, failing to score in its only other appearance in 1986. After outplaying Belgium for most of their opener this year, but losing 1-0, they took an early lead against Croatia but lost 4-1.

Kickoff is at 10am on TSN.
