The final steps of the Chatham Goodfellows No Child Without a Christmas campaign begin today.
Toy hamper deliveries begin at 5:30 from the former Monsignor Uyen school at 255 Lark St., Chatham.
Arrive at 5:30, youโll be given a route and hampers to deliver. Take as many or as little as you can handle.
Food hamper packing is tomorrow morning beginning at 8am, deliveries start at 11:30am.
If you were hoping for a white Christmas, you might be in luck.
Environment Canada is calling for a low pressure system to move across southern Ontario at the end of the week.
An intense low pressure system is expected to develop Thursday evening into Friday. Very strong winds are likely Friday and possibly Saturday along with significant amounts of precipitation in the form of rain or snow. Holiday travel will be severely impacted.
Environment Canada said the exact location of the low pressure system is unknown, so they canโt be sure what areas will be affected and with how much precipitation.

Argentina beat France 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw Sunday to win the World Cup.
Two of soccerโs biggest stars took centre stage; Argentinaโs Lionel Messi scored two goals and then another in a shootout and Franceโs Kylian Mbappรฉ scored the first hat trick in a final in 56 years.
The win gives Argentina their third World Cup title. France was attempting to win its second consecutive trophy.
Croatia beat Morocco on Sunday to take third.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds released their 2023 schedule on Friday, and there will be two visits to the area.
In total, the Snowbirds will stop in all 10 Canadian provinces, and two stops south of the border. The 2023 tour begins June 3 and runs until October 8 where itโll wrap up in California.
The touring airshow is making a stop in Leamington at Wings over Windsor August 26 and 27. Theyโll also perform at Airshow London September 8-10.
The largest free-standing aquarium in the world, burst on Friday morning in Berlin, Germany.
The aquarium, with about 1,500 exotic fish, exploded, flooding public streets with water, debris and dead marine life. None of the 1,500 fish could be saved.
The AquaDom, is located in the Sea Life Center at a Radisson hotel, that includes a museum and several retail shops. The 14-metre-high cylindrical tank held 1 million litres of water and housed 80 different species of fish before the burst.
The tank exploded just before 6am after a night of freezing temperatures. The owners say it is still unclear what triggered the eruption. Police said there is no evidence the tank was tampered with.
